PROPOSALS

The Kenneth M Molson Foundation will consider proposals for projects aimed at the promotion and development of:
 

  • Aeronautical engineering education and research, aviation history, and aviation libraries

  • Wildlife research, conservation and habitat

     DONATION ELIGIBILITY​

  • Donations will be made to eligible charitable and educational organizations in Canada.

  • Donations will not be made to individuals.​

  • The Foundation provides donations for ‘projects' - not ongoing ‘programs.' Donations are normally awarded for one year, with possible extensions depending on demonstrated satisfactory progress. Donations are made to institutions on the assumption that all of the donation funds will be expended on the approved project. It is expected that indirect costs related to the project will be provided by the Institution.

APPLICATION PROCEDURES & REQUIREMENTS

To be considered for funding, applicants must submit a formal application that includes the following:

1. Cover Letter

  • Must be on the organization’s official letterhead.

  • Include the organization's name, address, telephone number, email, and a contact person.

  • Applications missing this information will not be considered.

2. Organization Overview

  • A brief background on the organization, including its mission, objectives, and activities.

3. Project Description 

  • A clear and concise summary of the project, including:

    • Objective (purpose of the project)

    • Methodology (approach and key activities)

    • Anticipated Outcome & Impact (expected results and benefits)

4. Project Team

  • Names and expertise of individuals involved in the project

5. Budget & Funding Sources

  • A detailed budget outlining expected costs and a list of additional funding for the proposed project

6. Progress Reports 

  • All recipients must submit progress reports throughout the funded project, outlining accomplishments and project developments. Those requesting an extension must include a progress report detailing their progress to date.

       Application Length      

 

  • First-time applications: Maximum of four pages (excluding the cover letter).

  • Extension requests: Two-page progress report required in addition to the original application.​​​​​
